As a 38 year old, I find the biggest issue with larger age gaps is simply maturity. I tend to not get along with most people sub 25. It's not that I don't like them, it's that I feel like we live on different planets. Would I personally date an 18 year old? Probably not. Not because of this weird accusation culture, but because we're going to be in two totally different places in our lives.

The maturity difference is massive, even if yeah it's fine the amount of times I've seen these types of happen and the sheer amount of manipulation and influence the older person has is genuinely scary. but at the end of the day other people's relationships are non of my business. I just hope they're okay :)

It just all depends if the younger person was groomed or not. If both parties met after they were both over 18, then no. If one was still a minor when they first started talking, then we have a problem
