I have never seen anyone explain why a company can't just make a modern 70mm camera. Everyone acts like it's full of all this mystical magic we can't recreate. It's just a camera. We have 50 years of technology progress I am sure we could make a NEW 70mm camera that was silent and less cumbersome

Yall need to chill hating on imax. Nolan is an artist. Sure an average person may go “i dont notice a difference” - there is a difference. Just like people who listen to RAW streaming files uncompressed, vs spotify compression. Most will say “i dont notice” but people who are passionate about it do notice. The fact Nolan pulled a full imax film off, he deserves his props. Film makers notice
