I just remember the feeling we had when everyone was under the same roof, smelling like soap from nighttime baths, sounds of sleeping children, with their warm bodies and small feet sticking out from the covers, going to bed knowing all things will start over again tomorrow. Yes, I miss those days.

As the adult children, we want that too...more than anything. Knowing that our parents want that too is a different level of heartbreak realizing it is never possible. We should talk about this with each other more. I bet there is some healing in that conversation 💔
