people reacting in shock and disbelief to what benny safdie looks like out of the armor miss the point of both his casting as agamemnon and the armor design for this movie. he is meant to look imposing, like a god in the armor, but he is just a man underneath. he gives the facade of invulnerability, lives through the war, but perishes after returning home, once he sheds the facade, because beneath that is the truth, like when circe sheds the facade of odysseus’ men. agamemnon is just a man, projecting an aura of something he truly isn’t beneath the surface, to convince people to see what he wants them to see.
