24 episodes is 1 season. I’m so tired of these companies trying to make 8 episodes a season. It is not. If there are not at least 16 eps it’s not a season it’s partial. ESPECIALLY if it’s a 30 min show.

What a horrible take. Weekly releases are the worst, you don’t have to binge watch the show, you can choose to watch one episode at a time if that’s what you want to do, I’m not waiting months to finish a show, I will lose interest

UPDATE: Variety has issued a correction that Paramount's exact episode rollout is "still being considered" It's unclear to me if this was Variety misunderstanding the information they had been given or Paramount backtracking after backlash, l'Il leave this post up as I still believe it's a good discussion of binge model vs weekly releases.

It looks like they're just dumping the whole franchise and saying "here, damn." They're putting the movie in 2 theaters (probably so it doesn't violate some contract), and I guarantee they aren't even considering another season of the new TV series.
