Google claims Arabic isn't a single native language due to regional accents. But applying that same rule to English (US, UK, Australia,..) or Spanish (Spain, Argentina, Mexico,..) would break them apart too. Treating Arabic differently is a double standard. Counting all native speakers across the Arab world and regions like Chad, South Sudan, Ahvaz, and southern Turkey puts the real total close to 600 million native speakers.

If you count Arabic as one unified language, it easily ranks 2nd or 3rd globally. If your logic is to split Arabic up by its regional dialects, you have to apply that exact same rule to English. By that standard, English wouldn't even make the top of the list
