This happens to me too!!!! It’s not every month but pretty frequently to make me miserable. I have IBS supposedly but I’ve been looking into endometriosis. My stomach problems get so much worse around my period.

You might want to talk to your doctor about endometriosis, it can spread to your rectum, causing really bad bowel movements that flare up around your period. Especially if you get cramps really bad

This happened to me for 3-4 days a month because of endometriosis on my bowels! Endometriosis surgery should and can be exploratory and excision at the same time - go to a endo surgeon not an OBGYN doing ablation!!

Endometriosis. My endo excision surgeon said about half of his patients have and IBS diagnosis. It doesn’t always mean endo is on your bowel, endo causes a lot of inflammation and that swelling throws of your bowel

Wait to the people saying this could be endometriosis.. so I have this.. (or similar) most of the poos are peanut butter ones that don’t seem to ever clean thoroughly.. and worst of all I cannot have dairy around this time. Dairy makes my gut issues worse on my period. Does this sound relatable to others? (I’ve been suspecting that and other issues that my doctors have ignored me to the point I’ve given up)

Thats super common w your period in general. Your hormones change the gut bacteria and that’s why period poops are so diabolical.

Girlie pop I’m being so for real get a fecal parasite panel done. I had chronic giardiasis for almost a decade and toward the end I was having intense, burning cramps for 3 days a month culminating in diarrhea so severe it left me unconscious from dehydration more than once. Parasitic infections can have periods of activity and dormancy that result in abnormally cyclical symptoms.

Don’t be afraid to lie to your doc about wanting kids to get the treatment you need. Your quality of life doesn’t need to be ignored by them just because you don’t care about your fertility.
