controversial take; I think GAD is a concept with very little validity. the anxiety sx are, in my experience, better attributed to another disorder. like depression, OCD, complex PTSD etc. I think one of the reasons the evidence is rubbish is cos of how heterogeneous the concept is.

It’s scary though how many people end up in psychosis from it recreationally or end up with schizophrenia because they were already genetically predisposed. I think it’s great it can work for ppl in a controlled environment but I worry about the message that sends for recreational use for vulnerable populations who think oh it’s used as a treatment sometimes, it must be safe
