Nurses make like 70,000 to start. A 4 year degree generally costs like 120,000 so only affordable if you do JC first but nursing programs there and at 4 years are very hard to get into.

All my contractors have degrees in psychology and they make about $190,000 a year. And yes, they are mostly female.

I’m training to be a teacher and yes I’m well aware that I’ll be in 60kish debt to make 30 but it’s what I love and want to do and I think sometimes you can’t put a price on everything - I also think well no one’s gonna take my house away if I can’t pay my student loan if I don’t make enough I don’t pay it it’s not like a credit card

In Michigan, community college is free for everyone under 25. And I believe you can get grants/assistance after 25 that bring the cc costs down to little to 0.

So glad I told my children if they wanted to go to college they needed to earn full ride scholarships. I gave them the tools and they achieved the full rides at a state university.
