too late, my dad got me an hg wing zero, and i liked it so i watched the anime and i got obsessed and have watched almost every piece of gundam media, its only been a year and i already have 46 gunpla, but ny previous hobby was lego so i have 43 sets in my room, it was my first anime and its the anime that got me into anime then ofc i got deeper into plamo aswell like planes, ships, cars, figures, etc

gquuuux writing is kinda good I rate it 7/10 but ppl just cant appreciate the story itself and called it trash or jist straight talk bs about the series just because the fighting wasnt entertaining enough and the main character is a female

Consuming Gundam media definitely helps develop some sort of appreciation for the kit you're building. I didn't like the Crossbone Gundam at first but after seeing my glorious Late UC king, Seabook Arno pilot it with extreme level of skill, I had to get one.

I feel it’s not larping but better since it helps you appreciate it a bit more but that’s extra. Also props to watching the anime for the suits you get, I don’t watch IBO I won’t get IBO, I love zeta I get zeta kits etc.

I had a toy of a gundam F91 when I was a child before I even knew the Gundam series. My experience mecha at the time were Patlabor and Mospeada. I only know that toy is the F91 when I was in university. I agree with you. You're not a larper for building and like a gunpla without knowing about the Gundam series. That could be a starting point for someone to become a fan of Gundam.

The digital media pushes people to get gunpla and vice versa. There are kits without an anime/manga/game/etc counterpart too

Obviously watching every series is unreasonable, but I feel like if you haven’t seen even one of them you are larping a little bit. Definitely highly missing out at the minimum

Oh I’m totally a larper, I’m legit just building what I think is cool. The only gundam anime I’ve seen is ibo and I only built 2 from that show. But definitely got a variety of ones I built
