All I’m hearing here is that I can stay in maintenance and still lose body fat. 😂

Its just harder on the body i think to lose fat and gain muscle at the same time, based on my personal experience

The studies generally involve: * moderate deficits (roughly 10–20%, not crash diets), * high protein, * well-designed resistance training, * and relatively short durations (around 8–12 weeks)

Ok cool but an advanced lifter isn’t putting on 2lb of muscle in 6 months let alone 10 weeks - those are obviously untrained individuals. Let’s see them do the study with people who been lifting 5+ years

this is why I do the research on myself rather than listen to studies yes studies help but 1 thing I've learned in 53 years of life is every single person is different period some similarities because we are all human but we all run differently.

I have never eaten 1g of protein per pound of body weight never eat a shit ton of calories. I just eat clean whole foods fruits and vegetables. I have never done any of the fad diets carnivore, keto, none of that bullshit. Im 47 years old 6'3 2e5 and have had 0 problems ever building muscle

what's your thoughts on muscle gain when you start your bulk at 10% bf and gaining muscle at 20% bf. I was just wondering if it is easier to gain muscle in a surplus when you are at a lower bf% than a large one.

if you have low fat and a higher than average amount of muscle this will be extremely inefficient. All that is actually happening is ur fat burning to keep u in a net neutral, your body is going to prioritize the recovery of the muscle acutely, however if ur lean enough this will blunt growth. Your body exponentially tries to burn less fat as you get leaner.

1900 calories, 200g protein, 50g of fat, under 200 carbs, 25g fiber. It is where I am at now. In the body recomposition stage I guess.
