As a dev, the camera location could be automatic based on the model’s rig and head placement

I think the accommodating camera angle and the correct name is due to code efficiency, Pokémon have varying heights so for cutscenes they probably have the camera head track so that it gets the pokemon’s face in frame regardless of which scene or pokemon they’re in as for the correct name they probably have a variable in the dialouge code that checks the correlating id of the pokemon in your party so they don’t have to write out three seperate dialuge scenes for three seperate starters, it’s the same trick they use when npcs make comments on your partner pokemon
