Not all supercars randomly catch fire. In the Lamborghini Gallardo's case, it was mainly certain 2003–2008 models, due to known issues like faulty power steering lines (factory recall) and aging fuel/EVAP hoses that could leak onto hot exhaust components. The 2009–2013 LP 5.2 models were redesigned and are generally considered much less prone to these problems. It's more of a specific design and aging issue, not a "supercar" problem.
