@nathsway: Hidden slot canyon in South Australia! 🏜️🥾 - Located just a few hours from Adelaide lies one of the most incredible landscapes in the country! This is the Narrows Hike in Mount Remarkable National Park, a short but seriously impressive 3km loop takes you past towering red cliffs, ancient rock formations and through one of the most unique slot canyons in Australia. Starting from the Alligator Gorge car park, you'll head down a set of steep rocky stairs past massive ochre walls before reaching The Narrows after about 30 minutes, a stunning natural corridor where the cliffs rise up around you and giant boulders line the creek bed below. From there, the track winds past more incredible rock formations and native plants as you slowly climb back out of the gorge, passing a quiet campground on the way. Before you leave, don't miss the short walk to the Gorge Lookout for sweeping views over the gorge floor and all the way out to Spencer Gulf! All up it took me around two hours to complete, and while the gorge was dry when I visited, it can get slippery after rain, so make sure you wear proper hiking shoes. - #southaustralia #seeaustralia #adelaide #mountremarkable #alligatorgorge
