we've got five women, one NB, and one cis guy who has been playing since the 90s and before the campaign started said to me privately "I really want to play, but would I be intruding on your no guys space if I do?" I was literally like "because you asked that question, no, we are not worried about that"

My main group I started playing at bible college with was 3 guys and me. We added another person after graduation who shortly came out as trans masc nonbinary. There are also now two trans women, me (she/they bisexual) and a cis het guy who “doesn’t want to deal with unpacking it right now.” I fear the Christian’s may be right. Dnd makes you gay.

in all seriousness though I do think there is a correlation between roleplaying different characters and realizing truths about yourself/being more comfortable living those truths in real life. Im a cis dude and I love that RPGs can provide a space for people to explore that

I think everyone in my group is non-binary to some degree. NB maybe demi-girl, demi-girl, NB maybe gender genderfluid, NB, I think Dan is NB... all of us are some flavor of queer too.

My teenage kids used to play in a 50/50 group with one of their dad’s as the DM. It’s now an all female group, there have also been no changes in the roster. I’m so relieved this generation (and parents) are having a more open and affirming experience.

my original group was 4 guy 2 girl now its 4 guy 1 girl and 1 nb (i came out as nb and two other players swapped genders so the 1 girl is not the same one)

my 2nd dnd campaign ever (like 10 years ago), there was 3 other guys and then 1 girl in the group, and at session 0 she asked if “it’d be okay” for the rest of the team to not SA her character. we were all shocked and horrified, because wtf why would that ever happen, and she said in her last group it did — and when she asked that DM to stop it, he made her roll strength checks to try and break free from her party members’ grips. makes me sick to my stomach to this day, and when i dm i will always always ALWAYS do my best to make every player comfortable at my table

Our group had one female, then she dropped out because she didn’t want to play online and preferred in person games (which is more than fair) then two of our “guys” came out as gals so it’s now 60% male and 40% female
