They offer for comfort for dancers around the ankle. Traditional buckles can be too tight. Plus for theatre they are quicker to unbuckle for quick changes. x

ive had these for dance and ended up going barefoot as I couldn't for the life of me get it through the loop or stay in place, just give me normal buckles 🤣🤣 or a pair of converse 😂😂

Take the buckle part off (undo it) and thread it through the top of the shoe and then put the buckle back on. Then it the hood park behind the buckle.
