Perhaps because of this bond—or for other reasons—James decided he couldn't just give up; before long, he found a new job and a new home for himself and Rocky. When everyone else abandons you, a living being like Rocky gives you the strength to find yourself again. A dog is not just a dog; it is often a loyal friend for life.
