@ridealongcookie: Think better windsurfers should always be on smaller boards? I don’t. Yes, when the conditions become extreme, you need the right size equipment. But in these conditions? Full power on a 5.1 in around 20–25 knots, with plenty of chop… I’m still loving the Starboard GO Windsurfer! A bigger board doesn’t make you a beginner. It gives you confidence, comfort, speed through the lulls, and more time actually enjoying the session instead of surviving it. For many sailors, choosing a board that’s slightly bigger than everyone says you “should” be on actually leads to faster progression. Maybe it’s time we changed the mentality. Would you choose the smaller board… or keep having fun on something bigger? Let me know why. #windsurfing #starboard #windsurfcoach #windsurftraining #vassiliki @SunGod™ @Flymount @point7windsurf @Surf School @insta360 official @Watersports Nomad @Starboard

Definitely true - but the opposite is too! I see way too many 50kg girls struggling to progress on 130l boards, when they could be having much more fun on a 100l freewave. especially when they're just getting to grips with the harness and footstraps
