This is very important information for women in DV situations who have hidden devices. If you are in an unsafe or DV situation IF YOU HAVE A HIDDEN DEVICE PLEASE REMOVE IT FROM THE VICINITY OF THE ABUSER/HOME OR MAKE SURE IT HAS BEEN DISABLED PRIOR TO THE SCHEDULED ALERT. Turning the phone off will not stop the alert it will turn the device back on and it will alarm. Please leave the device with a trusted person, learn how to disable the alert or make sure you hide it somewhere that the sound won’t be audible when the alert goes off so it does not alert the abuser to its location (you could hide it in a car, a shed or garage wrapped tightly and muffled by blankets or clothing or with a neighbour if you have no other choice) it would be preferable to learn to disable it so you can keep it close by in the event of an emergency. Please stay safe out here ❤️
