It doesn’t make sense canonically 😭 he helped Percy in Titan’s curse when Percy was literally insulting him, where here Percy explicitly asks for his help. He also appeals to Percy in TLO while he is out from Typhon to protect his son Castor, which Percy does. Jason is also well liked by the Roman gods I’m pretty sure, it just doesn’t make sense for Mr D to do this. Especially when he had to face them as a demigod in his time

No, for real! I don’t know if there’s a difference or not because it was Backus. (hopefully I spelled it right IDK.) but the fact that he made Percy and Jason fight to prove themselves in the arena before helping them defeat the twins is actually insane like they defeated the Titans! Two of the most powerful demigods ever! They have more than enough experience! And you can’t fight along slide them due to pride and having to fight with a demigod side-by-side!!!! What!!! 😭😭😭 I don’t blame Percy for losing so much faith after that and admitting to himself that even though the gods are better than the Titans, they weren’t good or wise. He was so done.
