That was me not so long ago. But I realized that if someone chooses to focus on themselves, I need to do the same. It’s really disheartening when you don't get the same courtesy back—especially from the person you thought was your favorite human and someone you'd spend your life with. At some point, you have to reciprocate. It’s pointless to be the only one filling a vacuum; things should just happen naturally.
