2:17 AM :
as a guy, i just want to share my perspective on this.
yeah, i'm one of those guys who messed up in a relationship and ended up losing it. but for a lot of men, experiences like that make us want to become better people. we either start working on ourselves or turn back to God.
there's a phase where we're completely clueless, and then reality hits us hard. for many men, that's the turning point, the moment we start growing into more mature adults.
if people want to call it performative or say we're only pretending to change.. lol, not really. just because men tend to be more logical doesn't mean we don't feel deeply. we do. deep down, we're just as vulnerable when it comes to emotions.
we use logic to process what happened, recognize where we went wrong, accept that it's over, and actually do something about it.
we don't change for our exes. we change for ourselves and hopefully, when we meet someone new in the future, we'll be a more mature version of ourselves, someone who can love and treat our partner better because we learned from the pain of our past mistakes.
a lot of men simply weren't taught how to understand women or navigate love. So we learn the hard way, through our own mistakes.
