The problem is that People equate “free market” practices as capitalistic without understanding that free market existed (for centuries) before capitalism and isn’t even a core to it (but rather, an idea that capitalism took). This is they China will say they practice a socialist market economy but the west and their economics will say they practice “state capitalism” (an oxymoron in my opinion) just because China uses free market principles 🤣
