That’s part of what you’re paying for. But if you choose to buy the materials yourself to reduce costs or for any other reason, then it shouldn’t stop there. The tools needed to process those materials also have value. These are two of my circular saws that have broken down. I can’t go back to previous clients and ask them to replace my tools—that’s my responsibility as a craftsman. So if you decide to handle the material purchase yourself, you should also be prepared to provide the required tools or rent professional tools for the job. That way, everyone understands their role, and the work can be done properly without compromising quality.
