im lwky confused someone please enlighten me... every Falkland islands refrendum in history always has the people of the island (95%+) wanting to stay british. infact, the last one in 2013 had an outstanding 99.8% of the voters voting to stay British. In my mind, does this not mean that Argentina has no rights to the island? especially since the people dont want to be under argentine control. If were comparing apples to oranges here with situation, imagine if 99.8% of Palestinians say they want to be free from israel, and israel invades them anyways because that land is their "right". is this not the same situation? especially with argentinas history of ethnic cleansing and them RECENTLY voting against recognizing Palestine at the most recent UN General Assembly? Again, if someone would like to enlighten my worldview but considering this, isnt Argentina playing Israels role when it comes to the Falklands, especially considering that they want to disregard the people's voice?
