Whenever I hear Donald doing new tariffs. I remember you lot all revolted over a 3% tariff ish and a lack of representation. Now you’re paying way higher rates, with a weaker democracy, to some orange bloke. I just start humming that Hamilton tune ‘you’ll be back’.

As a guy who runs large capital projects for a US manufacturing company .. we’re only doing major work in Mexico and in the US we’re chasing automation to further reduce headcount. Also because it’s legitimately hard to find and train people, but that’s because the compensation is crap and we’ve continually cut education for the last 50 years.

I saw a video of an American talking about companies there getting subsidies to compensate for the tariffs. Makes me wonder if these tariffs are just a way of transfering more money from the population to the rich...
