that's because you're a natural protector and so you don't default to fighting those you see (perhaps unconsciously) as weak. if you were a leader for example and you saw someone mistreating someone else, you'd still understand but your brain would know that your responsibility to the person being mistreated is more important. the key is to learn to reprimand without using the full force of your strength (or you might destroy someone). You can understand why a lion is trying to kill you (it's hungry), but that doesn't mean the lion is *entitled* to killing you.
