You still see Prius’s for 203-2004 on the road with the OG hybrid battery and inverter I think Toyota knows what they are doing at this point (I am not pro EV or Hybrid by any means but if I had to get one it would be a Toyota/Lexus)

With the way the hybrid battery is used in Toyota's they will last well over 250k miles and twenty plus years. The hybrid system goal is to keep the battery between 45-80 percent. If it drops below 45% it goes uses the engine to charge. It never really needs to charge to full, which greatly extends battery life. There's an excellent video on the Toyota hybrid system on the Technology Connections YouTube channel. Highly recommend for any one interested in hybrid technology.

I love my 2019 Toyota Rav4 XLE, it's gas only, no hybrid and it's paid for. I am planning on keeping it forever. 😁
