I am only sharing the concerns of students and hoping that the Ministry of Education and Skills Development (MoESD) can understand the problem and help find a fair solution. I am also wondering why. I don’t think hair affects a student’s studies or participation in school activities. When it comes to girls, if they are allowed to keep long hair, they can tie it neatly. But they are required to keep their hair only up to the neck and still have to tie it, how can short hair be tied neatly? It keeps coming out of the rubber band, and then the teacher scolds the student for not tying it neatly. If we use more clips to keep the short hair in place, we are again told not to use too many clips. Why? Hair does not affect a student’s studies or school activities. I think students should be allowed to keep their hair in a way that is neat, comfortable, and manageable.

If schools encourage creativity in the classroom, why not allow a little creativity in how students present themselves? Because the way a student wears their hair shows diversity and personality. Why promote being copies when we can be our own individual.:)
