I just remembered something from my birthday. the waiter accidentally dropped our dessert, and you could tell he was about to cry because it was going to be deducted from his salary. We told him we'd pay for it since it was an honest mistake, and we even asked the manager not to scold him. As we were leaving, he thanked us with tears in his eyes and I ended up crying too. 🥹Maybe I'm just soft-hearted, but I have a soft spot for people who are simply trying to make an honest living. I just wish more restau understood that not every mistake is intentional :((
