My guess, Uldaz is holding Azeroth, she was corrupted, put in prison, the world forgot, because of the sundering (it always comes back to the sundering, jk), and so when she began calling out, they thought she was still in the heart and in need of help, we follow the voice to northrend and unlock the door, the world blows up, sundering 2 we start anew.

My theory is the last titan in season two they are going to introduce an entire new world which will be sold to us as a new warcraft with visual graphics like other newer games. Blizzard/Microsoft would never accept being left behind in the new graphical world. Its time and technology is going allow them to enable us to switch between the two old and new. (insert here, my friend in Texas was an new facility being built that was huge and at the ribbon cutting the WoW logo was present but not promoted) Most likely the old world would continue some kind of events where we have to port back to do events and go into the new world to finish other events. If you think about it they really havent been trying real hard with the current game, reskins, newer awesome mounts and hints of something here and there. If you read my entire comment remember you heard it here first. I listened to every new quest/story lines and hints were given to us since shadowlands most of us just were not listening hard enough. Midnight is like a maid, cleaning up the game ie. old race revealing stories, mixes of story lines leaving you scratching your head saying what?🥰

i don’t think uldaz is hiding any old god, i think it’s hiding a direct access point to azeroth herself, hence why it’s the best hidden of them all making it the last we find of the originally named facilities. xal’atath used the sunwell to gain access bc it was easier and faster than any other method which is really saying something for what we might find in uldaz

Years ago, Metzen hosted a panel at Blizzcon and he laid out a Titan Path that was coming. This would have been Cata announcement maybe? There was a whole lay out with visual art, starting at Wyrmrest. It never happened, but I think about that often.

what I'm more curious about is what we might discover about the titans and what that might mean for the Azerothian population, in Uldum we discover we are not the only civilization under the bidding of the titans and we know exactly how they ended up 🤣

If you are truly curious and you can find the out take videos, go watch the last moments we saw the jailer Zovaal, what he says and what happens in shadowlands (the fundamental flaw) ties what the Titans did and why their mistake to try to rewrite the world's was revealed to major world bosses. Also Lore suggests the Titans mistake, Saragas was the first to see it. Also Sylvanas showing up in Midnight commenting on the Maw, Shadowlands (and how the void are tied in) sees the Titans mistake where we are again brought to the Titans mercy. For me it all ties together but still I believe Blizzard will use this to reveal a new Warcraft to the player base.

I just want to see the full Uldum, it was suppose to be a raid in Dragonflight, but got scrapped last minute, you can see part of it at the end of the Legacy of Tyr remake dungeon.

They've likely been planning this plotline's reveal since Legion. Xal'atath, when she's still in the blade, says this when you interact with a remnant of the void at the rift of aln in the emerald dream after defeating Xavius. "Almost completely gone, as if it never existed. But the rift is deep and vast, and somewhere down there it stirs. Something has changed, the last prison weakens. We must prepare."
