As a teacher and a mom, you are not a “troubled teen” you are a girl who did not receive the love she deserved. You had a bad year, you see it, you are changing course and you are telling yourself and everyone around you that those who raised you, your past, does not define you or your future. You will go on to do so many amazing things because of the mindset and experiences you have. No one should ever go through what you have or what you may still have to experience, (and I won’t use the stupid saying of it made you stronger) but it does give you a different perspective that allows you to see the world differently than so many other people. Be the change now and in the future. I’m SO proud of you. I’m proud of the past you, I’m proud of the current you, and I’m proud of the future you.

Oh sweet girl. I wish I could hug you. You’re being failed in a system that is supposed to show up for you & as a social worker in another state, it is heart breaking. No matter your past or behaviors, you are in an environment where you cannot thrive. You cannot heal in an environment that is breaking you. You’re so young, you’re supposed to make mistakes, it’s what you learn from them & what path you take that matters. As someone who chose social work because of their childhood, I deserved love, and so do you. You deserve support and resources. Do not let what you have been through, the mistakes you’ve made, or the people around you determine who you are or where you’re going. Keep fighting for yourself. Go into the world & show every single person who’s against you that you are indeed capable of amazing things. Unfortunately, life is not fair and you’re going to have to fight like hell, but do it knowing that your life is important and worth fighting for! None of the things that have been said to you are acceptable. Your mom and Caleb are emotionally immature and making this about you instead of taking any responsibility for the role they played. Anyone who’s concerned with the cussing has proven themselves to be incapable of focusing in the most important part of this situation. Ashlynn, I just went down a whole rabbit hole of information from your highway dropoff video and I just want to say, after watching this video, be the best version of YOU that YOU can be. You can't control anything or anyone other than yourself. Do the best you can with that information. Pour your energy into school and education so that you can go live the life YOU deserve. Family, friends and TikTok relationships will come and go, however, you will have to walk your shoes every single day. Turn your anger and negative emotions into fuel to get what you deserve in a positive way. PROVE EVERYBODY WRONG. You are intelligent. I can see that through the way you describe your life. You can do and be anything and anyone you want. You’ve been so incredibly brave to document all of this the way you have and I’m so sorry this is something you’ve had to go through. Please never question whether the actions of your parents/step father are justified, no child deserves to be treated this way and the actions of irresponsible/careless adults will never define you or your future. The way you have handled all of this is truly admirable given the circumstances, please never feel the need to apologise for having your own frustrations and emotions, it’s completely natural and nothing to be ashamed of. Girl you don't need to apologize for swearing 😭 Just wanted to comment that I've been in a similar position and I really understand how difficult it is to get out and to have people believe you. I didn't get out until I was an adult, CPS completely failed me. Just know that you as a person did not do anything to deserve being treated like this under any circumstances. Whatever happened to your parents is on them to figure out and not project onto you as their child. I'm really glad you have friends in your life who know what's going on, hang in there. ❤️
