I’m so sorry 😞 God works in mysterious ways, and sometimes it’s so hard to understand why we have to go through such difficult times in life. ❤️My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer last year, and she’s almost done with her journey. 🎀 I just wanted to share a few tips that I feel really helped her throughout her treatment.
First, hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! 💧 We also did vitamin infusions a couple of days before her chemo, which seemed to help her.
Every chemo session was different. One session she would feel okay, while another she would be extremely tired. There were also times when she experienced diarrhea for several days. She would feel mildly nauseous during her chemo treatments as well, but the nausea medication seemed to help.
Another really important thing is to advocate for yourself. Like I mentioned before, my mom was having really bad diarrhea, but her doctor didn’t want to lower her chemo dose at first. My mom spoke up and explained that she had even gone to the ER because of the diarrhea. After that, her doctor finally lowered her dose. So don’t be afraid to speak up and let your doctor know exactly what you’re experiencing.
Also, look into foundations or organizations that may be able to help with treatment-related expenses. I’m not sure what state you live in, but you can also look into FMLA. Your spouse or even your parents may be able to apply for it so they can take time off work to help care for you.
Sending you so much love, strength, and prayers during this journey. 🎀❤️I hope some of these tips can help you in some way.
