why are some people so negative??? it's trimming not fucking declawing like trimming does hurt the cat, they can still play with their nails walk normally and not be in pain. and it helps with not having scratched furniture.

it's obvious from the comments that most people seem unfamiliar with cat claws and scratching posts. cats use the scratching posts to pull off the outer dead claw nails. trimming the nail as seen here is incorrect. if you "must" trim the claws, get the trimmer that will remove the outer claw and keep doing this for the cats entire life. else cats claws with grow all the around and embed in the pad.

Friendly reminder to ALWAYS trim your cats nails, especially if you have an indoor only cat. When a cat's nails grow too long they can curve back into their paw pads

This is why you should let your cats out so they scratch trees and floors to trim their nails. Cats are very independent but human beings just want to restrict everything

if y'all can't handle a little pain of cats scratching you or slight damage that will heal, please just never have a cat, leave cats alone, stay away from them if you genuinely can't handle some scratches and the pain of them. 😐 cats actually use their nails and need their nails. humans also use their nails but not as much as cats plus humans don't need long nails to be used. again. let cats be cats if u can't handle them being cats then don't have cats.

cats nails will just keep growing and curve back into the paw pad if you don't trim them. you need to trim them and keep an eye on it.
