A friendly reminder that if you want to get into taxidermy collecting, try to find vintage pieces. Don't buy new pieces unless it's clear the animal passed from natural causes (which nowadays you'll be hard pressed to find) While a vintage fox pelt is highly likely to be from the fur trade when it was killed, by purchasing it instead of a new, 'nicer looking' pelt, you're not supporting more animals dying for no reason. This pelt was once used as a neck accessory, you can just see the clip under his chin. I only put him around my neck so I could show him off gently, as he's fragile. From now on he'll be in my room, protected and cared for. And most importantly appreciated. #taxidermy
