Women are perfectly comfortable being alone and the reason that women end up broke when they’re older is because if they stayed home and raise the kids, their husband wasn’t looking out for them. He wasn’t putting money in an account and she lost out on that income that she could’ve earned. #allmen #equity #feminism

the 401k, etc is legally half owned by the spouse. in a divorce everything is split. house, investment accounts, cars, savings, checking, anything acquired after the marriage began.

I’ve worked my entire life only part time when my kids were born and very little. I’ve never been able to save money because it is expensive to live, and I want my kids to have a better life than I did so therefore all my money goes to our lifestyle.

my nan, a widow for 40 years, lives with her 4 daughters on the same land, each has their own house, their own life, their own kids (and grandkids). 2 of her daughters are married, one is divorced, the other widowed.
