I think the reason why the acting feels cardboard is because of the editing. It cuts for every 2-3 seconds which makes it hard to pay attention to certain moments of the film. But when the movie just stops cutting, you get the really good performances like Samantha Morton and Elliot Page, both of them have limited screening time. Shame that the editing really lessen the impact of the main cast's performances because most of em are good.

I agree with a lot of your points, especially about there being a few too many movie stars. But Robert Pattinson was absolutely phenomenal—he completely stole the show. The music and sound design were incredible as well. Apparently, they lowered the volume in the Netherlands and Belgium, but I still had an amazing experience. I’ve seen it twice already, and I’m already itching to watch it a third time. Thanks for the great review!

My whole theater shook every time the cyclops stomped and that's just one scene. Everything about the sound design and Ludwig's music was life altering

I really liked the movie but Nolan’s movies are starting to feel like Fast & Furious is just packed with celebrities for no reason like why bringing a big actor for a 5 min scene

Right word “supposed”, he also supposed to cheat on his wife and have a child , not everything must be like in original , the mc in movie is better compare to the book , different themes work differently the book one was to much of the mess , Nolan did an amazing job with Oddyseys in movie , wrong about acting again only exception probably Tom , he really is a bad actor after all , and it is your problem that you have problems with famous actors who are doing amazing job with acting , it is ok not to like it , but your criticism sounds a little bit too much of nothing
