If we deep dive, Ronaldo is the Best player ever of the best club competition in the world aka ucl. Best goalscorer, 3 time record of goals in 1 ucl campaign, most assists, most goals scored in ko stage, most goals scored in each quarters, semis and finals of the ucl. Had won the euros with PORTUGAL. Most uefa best player of the year (3) most uefa top scorer (7). So there is obviously a huge argument for cr7. You might talk about world cup but you win it more because you are from a top 8 country rather than because you’re good. There has only been 8 national teams that won the world cup, Portugal has been a decent team from 2010 to 2022, first time they were ever world cup contenders was in 2026, so how can we apply equal standards for a player playing for Portugal and Argentina. Argentina have always been world cup favorites. Portugal had never won anything before Ronaldo and had a Liga Nos team with them, we over-normalized what cr7 did for Portugal they should have never come near a euro title yet they won one. Messi winning a wc with Argentina was an expectation, Ronaldo winning a title with Portugal until 2025 was an over achievement. Let’s compare their international careers proportionally to their nations, not equal standards, I am not going to compare Mbappe and Haaland for their nations saying Mbappe clears cuz he has a world cup it’s completely stupid

lets do some thinking yeah, messi fans thinks Messi is better then Ronaldo, if the world really is so great that only happens once every 4 years and the match style is almost the same as UCL matches, then why is it harder for messi to win the UCL after 2015? that almost the same as the world cup? but this one (UCL) happens every year.
