Incorrect. The creator of cyberpunk has said the relic is why V is able to chrome up as much as he can without going psycho. Johnny’s mind acts as a buffer. And the relic saves his life several times. The voodoo boys quest is another example and the back alley BD dealer are others. With that said “because of the relic” is not a valid argument.

Ironically the relic was the entire reason why V didn't die or go cyberpsycho from all the cyberware they had installed. It was slowly killing them yes, but it was also the only thing allowing them to be as strong as they are. Hence why they had to remove every bit of cyberware from V's body in some of the phantom liberty endins

The idea the relic only keeps v alive during the dex encounter is incorrect! It also revives v if you side with the vodoo boys during the netwatch encounter and they try to flatline you. It fails for the same reason :)

Johnny told a dying merc to raid Arasaka tower alone as a last ride cos he thought it'd be fun. Fkn shut up when V started slicing through mechs and elite special forces like butter. Also Ethan is right, in Don't Fear The Reaper, you max health slowly decreases as the mission progresses, showing the relic slowly killing V.

My problem with that is that Netrunner V dogwalks every other build, but whenever the story requires a Netrunner and you say "hey, I could do it" the NPCs laugh at you like "Not you, a real Netrunner" and then call the most basic netrunners ever. Like, is every other Netrunner this godlike creature, then? Because I took down Adam smasher with like three quickhacks, so what could a "real Netrunner" do?
