I read somewhere that parents (especially fathers) of children who pass away from preventable things like drowning are more likely to put their remaining children in increasingly risky situations to prove the original one was just a fluke

She still has not gotten a pool fence !! Everyone keeps saying “she has a pool cover she just didn’t have up at time” well in the state of Arizona a pool fence is legally required!! A pool covering does not count as water safe

The parasocialness of all of this is so dystopian. A woman loses her child the most tragic way. Her and her husband are very much to blame. She’s held herself accountable. We saw a clip, second of the vacation. They could’ve had lifejackets on right after that or maybe they could’ve been talking the boat. No one knows. But the fact that everyone is so willing to feel like she owes us an explanation and should come on social media to be ridiculed and receive everyone’s chastisement. It’s so bizarre. You don’t know these people. We don’t know these people. Let them grieve and process the aftermath of their child’s death.
