@columbia.honda: If your AC keeps needing a recharge, there's usually a bigger problem. 😳 A properly sealed AC system shouldn't lose refrigerant under normal conditions. Click the link in our bio to schedule your Honda service. 🚗 #carac #acrecharge #airconditioning #carmaintenance

🤣🤣Unsure what kind of systems America have but in the UK. Vehicle AC usually leak a tiny amount. But should still hold 0.99bar. I’d recommend an AC service with any gas every 2 years. You’d be amazed how much difference it makes over 2 years

No ac is fully sealed but they have a tolerance on how much it can lose. Like VW has a 30-40g a year tolerance

Just because it’s a “sealed” system doesn’t mean the system over time will slowly start to dissipate. A/C systems can lose up to 5% of its Freon volume every year.

ASE standard says that's it normal for an AC system to lose up to 1/2 oz. of refrigerant per year.

Yea you can do a vacuum test and there will be no leak but it just gets low even if there is a tiny ass leak a 30 dollar recharge every year is cheaper then a 2k repair 😭

As a mechanic you should know that over time the system will lose gas over time. That's just normal so this is not accurate. This is basic knowledge..so no it's not always a leak..

Nate Lesperance :
It's "sealed". it has fittings. Anything that has fittings and has a gas will "leak". totally normal to recharge. if you recharge every couple of years or less, you have a leak.

Fact: Some ac systems (like Ford) will lose up to 10% charge per year just by use.
