What you said about stuff working in one on one business in the 80s and 90s is such a good point that I think should be talked about more. He does this all the time. Like whenever he tells a story about "someone said this" that's exactly the sort of one on one business talk that doesn't make sense or work on a national stage where reporters can see everyone you're talking to
