Hey, Im a fan of the leaping and stalking idea. Just as a gimmick, can you give it tiny little balls that hit against the trees that does a little damage. When it does, it howls a very scary howl. People will be like "what caused that?", when in reality its just because it was hunting the hikers and whacked itself on a tree. You're accent tells me youll like it too

yk what you shloud add fishing to the game and also add danger to water like leeches or Crocs and a chance to stumble onto beartraps that you can set up with meat to lure the crature
