I do the same thing. a lot of movies that are streamed do not have a trailer. I can go on IMDb and find out if it's really what I want to watch. besides I always check out the user reviews

VH1 used to play movies and would use pop up bubbles to spout facts about the movie and actors. I loved that and got me to use IMDB the same way.
