@safe.protection.s: Assessment: Ranger was at the front of the kennel when the handler approached him, he greeted her with a neutral demeanor, he was wary of the leash, and he flailed for a few seconds then ran out and strongly pulled on leash. The handler sat on the bench and gave him a few seconds to settle. He wouldn’t approach the handler when she called him over, he made eye contact with her a few times, his eyes were concerned, his tail was tucked, and his body was low. He allowed the handler to pet him, but he was uncomfortable, wary, and nervous. He eventually shut down and laid down on the ground. Ranger will require confidence building, continued socialization, and slow introductions. Behaviorally ok for public adoption, adults only with a disclosure for handling sensitivity.
