As a trans person I always make it very clear that my existence and life isn’t a debate or a negotiation. I also make it very clear to maga that they aren’t the student, they are the lesson.

These debates matter. There are people in the middle who don't know which way to go, especially young people, and if the only voice they hear are the loudmouth MAGA voices... well, that's how we get where we are. Left wing voices have to start being louder. We got complacent because we thought society was on the proper track and we tried to roll our eyes and "keep the peace" and "not ruin the family dinner", and we let the mind virus spread for decades

I remember one clip that exemplifies this perfectly. Its one of the kirk-ster, debating how gay marriage causes societies to fall. after being proven wrong and shifting the goal post so many times, hes backed into a corner and ends with "okay but I still dont like it". he was NEVER going to change his mind.

That’s not totally wrong, but both sides do what you’re saying. That’s why I hate “debates”. We don’t need debates. We need conversations. Unless the goal of both sides is to sit down and agree to compromise and come up with solutions then there’s no point in sitting in the first place. Both sides are equally as guilty of this.
