I like your message, however I feel like this is making ‘good’ and ‘liked’ synonymous. You can be a good person without being universally liked, and striving to be a good person doesn’t necessarily mean you are manipulative. Trying to be liked by everyone - and by that virtue being disingenuous to your true self - that is manipulative. It should be everyone’s goal to be a good person for moral fulfillment and social acceptance, but there is a line between simply being as ‘good’ of a person as you can be, and just being two-faced or shallow.
