I am so sorry. I don’t know why the medical field doubts PANDAS. And nothing enrages me more than being gaslighted or told all will be fine. My son has so many medical issues that also just came out of the blue and we never get answers. He has had two grand Mal seizures. He was initially put on Keppra and I just won’t to make sure she is not onthat. Keppra made everything a million times worse. He was switched to lamictal and that worked way better.

I know it's difficult but have you tried to contact, unfortunately in Italy the REGINA MARGHERITA hospital? And an excellent pediatrics center...or the CTO hospital, both in Turin...in my opinion they can help you

My heart hurts for your family so badly. I have a pandas kids but I do realize we are so lucky that for the most part we can get him back to baseline..there needs to be more research. Needs to be more funding. I just really think dr. Oz and RFK are not the people that will help us. They may actually use this condition to hurt us further with their stance on mental health.

PANS mom here. Have you checked for all underlying infections- Lyme/bartonella/babesia, mycoplasma, strep, etc.? Aspire has a good list of labs to start with. Have you had your home tested for mold? Thinking of you all.

Has she ever had a sleep study with EEG to see what her brain activity is during the episodes? Does she sleep differently or have less episodes with sedating meds ( not saying you would want to keep her sedated) just curious if it results in a change?
