@beatthediagnosis: I wanted to have an honest conversation with those that follow me. The word incurable means something that cannot be cured. In Medical Illness terms it means something that cannot be eliminated by treatment. My brain cancer is never going away, like many who suffer with a tumour in the brain it’s not a matter of IF it comes back but WHEN. There is currently no solution on this planet that is able to cure someone with a brain tumour. Scientists have studied this disease for over the past 40 years and made very minimal progress. I strongly believe in the holistic side of things to help, Nutrition, Meditation, Oxygen Therapy, breath work, red light therapy. Just to name a few. But these are only methods to assist with keeping the tumour stable and not growing. These are all elements that assist with helping keep someone’s tumour stable. It’s not a miracle cure and all elements are to prolong life not fully rid someone of this horrible disease. I am not a pessimist, I do genuinely believe there will be a cure one day. Be it in my life time or in many years to come. I love people’s enthusiasm of “you will beat this”. “God will keep you safe” “heal this man” “I hope you get cured”. I know all the above comments are meant well, but the reality is this disease isn’t ever going away for me. My sole goal currently is to live as long as possible whilst battling a brain tumour. My aim is to do this via immunotherapy in Germany. This is my first step in a very long journey ahead. Thank you for all the support, kind words and donations to helping me get towards my goal of raising enough funds to receive life prolonging treatment.
