@andriana_marine: The way @womenforwolves helped to heal me through such a challenging time in my life is something I really have a difficult time putting into words. I am still working through the grief of just losing my beautiful boy Chance at 16 years old. He has been with me through so many different parts of my life, starting when I found him in Miami in high school. I was actually only 17 when I found him running around the soccer field I was training on. And since then, he has been such a huge part of my family. He has always been my support, such a love muffin, and the boy I absolutely love most in this world. And thinking of how I will no longer wake up to his tippy tapping around my house, or smelling his stinky paws is still an impossible thing for me to grasp. After I made the decision to put him down after his battle with cancer was starting to impede on his quality of life, I messaged my soul sister @Tracy Izor about coming out to camp in nature with her, and to spend time with the wolfdogs she works with. And I really have no way of explaining how exactly perfect everything was. Getting to meet and bond with these beautiful, misunderstood animals was truly incredible for me. Having them start to trust me after just meeting me was something so absolutely special. Wolves really connect to your heart in such a unique way that is difficult to describe until you have felt it. And wolves especially connect to the feminine spirit. But speaking of feminine energy, it wasn’t only the wolves, the women who I met, reflected something beautiful and wild that I feel so much in myself. And they ignited my soul just as much as the beautiful wolfdogs did. Thank you ladies so so much for such a beautiful time at the Women For Wolves sanctuary, I really cannot explain how much my time there helped to heal me. I am still grieving my boy but my time here was so special. And to be honest I already cannot wait to be back! Love you ladies and love the wolves just as much!
